If you are a fan of golf, chances are you got your love for the game as a small child. Miniature golf is how many people who love the sport got their chance to take their first swing. While most of us have gone on to larger golf courses, one Denver man has decided to keep playing miniature golf. Dan Caprera made a promise to himself that he would travel the entire 50 states and play mini-golf in each one of them. His plan was to complete this dream after he finished college and before he starts his career, and it looks like he is well on his way.
49 States in Just 10 Weeks
So far, Caprera has traveled more than 20,000 miles and has visited at least 49 states in just 10 weeks with the help of his friends. When interviewed by the local news station King5, Caprera said this about his journey, “One of my craziest friends drove from Seattle to Anchorage, Alaska with me”. This leg of the trip took the group 84 hours roundtrip but the hours on the road was well worth it. Now the only state that is standing in the way of his bucket list dream is Hawaii. He recently made the trip at the end of August and the world is waiting to hear how it went. Surely he is very happy that he has completed a lifelong dream, but reality will set in when he has to start a full-time day job. But hopefully, he will still make the time to enjoy a few rounds of miniature golf on the weekends.
